Clearing Cache
Answered-
@kleb
I'm sorry for the trouble clearing your tile cache. I have an open bug report for this issue and we’re continuing to track it in our system, but unfortunately, don’t have an ETA on when you can expect a fix.
In the meantime, the best way to clear a cache of 2GB or more is to delete and reinstall the app. Please follow these steps to do that.
1. Sync your phone to the website with these steps: Backup, Sync, and Transfer Your Data
2. Delete the app
3. Reinstall the app from the Appstore here
4. Log in and your data will begin downloading automatically (minus the cache)
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We'll email you as soon as we have a fix.

Hi Jim
I am trying to free up some space on my iPhone. I've followed your instructions above for clearing the Tile cache (19GB) by deleting and installing the APP after syncing but it didn't work. I'm still at 19GB. Any other recommendation?
Cynthia

Just wondering if there's any update on this? It's not acceptable to have to delete an app and reinstall it every time we want to clear space up on our phones. This feature used to work, what is taking so long to solve this issue?

Hey @Kleb,
Thanks for reaching back out.
The Engineers are still working on a fix for this issue. It requires some reworking of the map download framework so it is taking a little longer than expected. I don't have an ETA on when you can expect a fix. Sorry about that.
