Android Sync Broken

I tried following this link on my device:

Now I'm just staring at the GAIA splash screen but don't see much wifi activity.
I'm running out of time to load and go so this old bug is really in my way today and I've tried 5 different fixes without luck. App is up to date. Super frustrating as a paid user to still have this sync problem.
Q: How long should this take? Should I see network activity? Better fix for this?

Nothing worked; link above just cause hang for 1+ hours, clearing cache, logging in, updating password, etc etc.. didn't work.
Finally tried uninstall, re-install, and start fresh and it looks to be taking cloud data minus whatever it lost... it will be downloading for awhile.
I tried to log out to re-download as a last resort but that also did not work; it became unresponsive when I hit logout and the OS wanted to kill it which I finally did.
Hope Gaia for Android grows up soon, iOS users I talk to seem to get a much better value for the same price.

Any progress with this? I tried the link above with no results. My last sync was in August. I need the syncs from my phone to happen so I can create maps online.

Yeah, I don't know why they commented "I'm glad you were able to get the issue resolved" as it seems there was some kind of known outage during this time and none of the above worked. I talked with other users who had similar problems during the same time period.
In the end I went off grid for a week using other navigational tools as Gaia failed to sync. in time to be useful. When I returned from my trip it seemed to function and sync fine again.
@simonov you may want to direct contact the support team and see if they can help you extract your data so you can re-install and manually restore whatever isn't syncing.

It definitely seems to have been a temporary outage I only just now discovered. I contacted support and was asked to try this to force a reconnection with the server:
o Open Gaia GPS > Settings > Account > tap Restore Purchases
o If prompted, enter your email address and login (proceed even if you get an error message after logging in)
o Then force close and reopen the appI ran through the steps as suggested and everything worked. No need to back up anything.
Very happy with Gaia GPS and my first (and hopefully only) encounter with the support team. The only significant problem with this app I have run into is the battery life on my phone.
