Folders and Files behavior is "different"

I have been working with Gaia for several days to understand all its features.  The area I find the most confusing is Folders and Files.  I was expecting Files and Folders to appear and behave just like they do in a PC.  The current protocol is very slow and very confusing.  The Help feature does nothing to help my confusion.  Also, unclear on the effect of archiving a file.  Is it gone forever?  Can it be reinstated?

  Sorry for the confusion with folders.  We are working on a large overhaul of the folder system, but I don't have a timeline on when it will be finished.

  Archiving data allows you to remove data from the app without permanently deleting it. Archived data is removed from your device and saved to your web account.  You can then unarchive it and sync it back to your device when you need it.
