June 2020 Android Release Slow
My Pixel phone recently updated to version 2020.6. This release makes map painting much slower. I've turned off display of tracks and waypoints so all it's displaying is the map. I cleared the cache no help. In uninstalled and reinstalled, that seems to have clear up some display anomalies, but not generally improved display speed. I've restarted the phone no change. I'm displaying open cycle map which I've used for years. Before it would paint the map within a second or two, now it's taking upwards of 20 seconds sometimes to paint. Also I'm getting it to sort of crash sometimes. It zooms hangs and then the display goes away, but it's still listed in the active apps, but when I select it it starts over again with the splash screen. The slowness happens randomly sometimes it's pretty fast sometimes very slow. It's pretty weird to sit a point that's been downloaded to level 16, zoom to 15 or 16 and wait 20 seconds. The display is not hanging I can still pan and zoom but the display just sits in a fuzzy state until it finally paints. It doesn't seem like displaying tracks or waypoints affects the speed. Also the display paints in a tiled manner. I though they went to vector painting of the display but it looks like it's painting as tiled.
Weird and not in a good way. Anyone else experiencing this?

With this version, I've experienced longer initial load times for the app. It also frequently crashes first time to launch and I need to launch it a second time. I have not experienced a noticeable difference with tile resolving. (Moto g7)
Maybe a cache clean would help in my case, haven't ever tried it.
