Red Shading for Downloaded Map Areas
AnsweredWonderful that the red shading was added to Android to show map areas that have been downloaded. HOWEVER, it is almost completely useless for a user that is interested in downloading more than one map source for the same area.
Once you have downloaded a particular geographic area it is red on the screen and it is impossible to know which areas in a new map source you still need to download.
I think one of the issues is that Gaia thinks mostly in terms of hikers where the geographic region that needs to be downloaded is limited in size so it is no big deal to just select your area again.
Gaia needs to think about the people who use the app for off road vehicle travel where the geographic area we need to download can be quite large for a multi day trip.
I suggest that the red shading ONLY appear for the particular map source that is currently in use. This would solve this problem.
