track cropping
For all of the great functionality on the website and in the app, it seems unbelievable that cropping a track is either missing entirely (website) or frustratingly awkward (Android app).
Cropping in the Android app would be improved by having the displayed track change as the endpoints are moved. Currently the track changes only when the slider is released, which makes guesswork a really frustrating part of the process. Even better would be to add Plus and Minus buttons that would step a selected endpoint forward and backward through the trackpoints.
I don't know what to say about the fact that the website doesn't support even the clunky track editing that the app has. It does so much else so well, how is this small-but-very-useful feature not there?
This is a common request in the community help section of your website, there are several threads about it. In those threads, the typical reaction to, "Oh, just export the track, edit it using <whatever> and then re-import it" is "Seriously? What a hassle, My <toy-fitness-app> does this just fine on its own"

I third this. I don't understand why you can crop a track on your phone but get a "You can't edit a recorded track" pop-up on the website. Makes no sense. Editing it on your computer should be easier (bigger screen--more precise, if developers enabled it) than on the phone. Please fix this!

I would request this too. I have a Pixel phone and the way gestures work makes it almost impossible to crop on the app. Also, it is impossible on the app, when you do an out and back, to see exactly where you are cropping to, I almost always end up cropping out some of what I would like to have kept. This would be clearer on a laptop screen.

Another big upvote for cropping tracks on the web client. It's crazy that this feature is mobile only!! Almost always my tracks are 'dirty' in that I run the record too long after getting in the car, etc.
MVS (bare minimum) functionality would be to simply crop tracks. Next obvious and very useful step would be to allow me to 'cut up' a track by cropping out sections in the ends as well as middle, then turn the disjoint sections into distinct tracks. This workflow is super useful when trying to organize trails after a multi-trail ride/hike.

Yep, 3 years later and this is still brutal in the browser. Android app track cropping is Ok but what would be really useful is modifying existing tracks as opposed to only be able to create a new route to add missing track sections (dropped signal, stopped recording etc.) Not really concerned if modifying existing track removes the recorded stats as I care more about route (trail finding) than stats. This definitely seems more like and app geared to IOS than Android as features between IOS, Android and web browser are very inconsistent....ugh!
