Sorry, but there is not a way to undo a track crop.

This isn't exactly the same, but can create a route for the section of track that's missing: Create and Measure Routes in iOS

The route will have distance and elevation, but not any of the time data in the track.

You can bundle them in a folder to view cumulative stats: Managing Folders in iOS

The fact that there is no undo/redo OR any warning that cropping is FINAL is very clunky and destructive of user data, which is a big UX no-no! Also, the crop preview has significant lag (on Android) so I accidentally cropped more than I wanted to b/c the preview hadn't updated. Some significant feature gaps that make Gaia's track very challenging to actually use effectively, really too bad.

Sorry for the trouble. I can definitely see how it would be helpful to undo track cropping.

We don't have plans for anything like this at the moment, but I'll create an internal request for this to keep track.

In the meantime, as a workaround, you can export and import the track, which creates a copy of it.  This way you can always have a copy of the original in case you make a mistake cropping it.

Thanks for suggesting this. If you have any further questions, please contact Support here.

I just want to +1 this issue. I was recently cropping a track (had forgotten to finish the track before driving off at the trail head -- this probably happens to a lot of users), and I was a bit overzealous. I wanted to undo, but there was no way of doing so. If there is a potentially destructive change/edit to a track, it seems like there should be a way to "back out".

++ on the need to improve Crop (including undo).  I am a scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop.  Yesterday, we did a group hike.  I told one of the dads that Gaia is the GPS app I use most, but there are a number of competitive ones - Gaia or CalTopo or AllTrails, etc.  "crop" is great - much better than having a trip with a long car ride added to the end.  So better Gaia than All Trails.  But today, I cropped a little too short.  The UI to Crop isn't great.  Not precise in the app, and if you cut too short, it's permanent.  If you want to stand out instead of being in the pack, worth fixing this.

From a developer standard - Crop should clone the original data and then shorten the clone.

Is there an update on this issue? It is two years old and seems like a pretty basic request. Thanks.
