Map view different on iOS12 and iOS13?

Just subscribed and downloaded a Gaia Topo file.  It displays normally on my iPad mini with iOS12, but on my main iPad with iOS13 it's very dark.  Virtually unseeable under sunny skies.  I don't see any options to change the map brightness, contrast, etc.  Anyone know anything about that?  Thanks

  I run Gaia on an iPad (12.9 3rd gen, iOS 13.3) with the Gaia Topo downloaded and haven't experienced the dark screen you describe.  Any chance the screen darkness on your iOS 13 machine is low?  I did notice different behavior of the automatic screen tone and darkness features between iOS 12 and iOS 13.

  Bingo!  Yes, I had the Dark Screen mode on.  It hasn't really effected other apps or maps in this way, but I switched to the Light mode.  And now it's fine.  Thanks Howard.
