Max zoom on new Gaia Topo Map downloads for offline use?

When attempting to download the new Gaia Topo layer (which I love by the way, kudos) for offline use it appears the max resolution is only 1:192000 when most of the other Topo layers go down to 1:6000. 1:192000 is not useable in any practical way other than the broadest, entire state level. What’s up?

    Thanks for reporting this.

    I was able to reproduce this issue and I've opened a bug report to get this resolved in a future update. 

    From what I can see, it looks like the estimated scale number (1:192000) is being displayed incorrectly. 

    But downloading this map is working just as you expect. Downloading Gaia Topo at max zoom will give you a super crisp and detailed map, all the way to the highest zoom level.

    Hi Chris,

    Has this issue been resolved? I have the most up to date iOS app, and downloading tiles I can only go to Zoom 12. It says "Max Zoom 12 (1:192000)" and "9879 tiles (289.4 mb)". And in the folder it is 172.5 mb. So I can't imagine it is actually Zoom 18 and just showing up wrong. 10,000 tiles (covering 80% of Iceland) should be a larger file than that?

    Thanks for reaching back out about this.

    The new version of Gaia Topo is a vector map. This means it's made of multiple layer types for each tile. It's mobile-optimized and takes up much less space on your device. 

    The Max download zoom available for Gaia Topo is 12 and displays a resolution of 1:192k but all data is included at this zoom level.  

    As a test, you can download a map in the area you wish, put your phone in airplane mode, and zoom in closer than level 12.

    Additionally, the map download interface was recently reworked. You can see the latest updates by installing version 2021.7 of the app.

    In version 2021.7, select "High" resolution on the Choose Sources screen.
