Control / Toggle Dark Mode Independently from OS System Setting
CompletedI use dark mode on iOS, but would prefer to use the light-background Gaia Topo. I don't like being forced to use dark maps when my OS is set to dark mode.
Currently I have to toggle my OS system setting to light mode before using Gaia, then go back to system settings and toggle to dark mode again when I’m done. This makes for a cumbersome user experience.
It would be much nicer to have a setting within the app with the following options: 1) permanent dark mode maps, 2) permanent light mode maps, or 3) respect/mirror OS system setting.

Hello all,
I just wanted to pop in and share that this feature has been implemented.
You can toggle dark-mode maps from the Settings > Map Controls > Appearance section to either be on always, never, or based on how you have your System settings configured.
If you have any questions please contact Support.

This.
Makes sense to use the iOS setting for the Gaia interface -- menus, etc. -- but not for the maps themselves. That should be a setting within Gaia itself.
The current behavior (setting map presentation with iOS setting) is like having the Photos app invert the colors of your photos when the iOS is set to dark.
Please fix this.

This is an important UX issue. Reading maps in the daytime necessitates light mode but other apps are fine to be in dark mode all the time. It's not a great design to force users to toggle the OS setting every time they switch between apps.
Using the global OS dark mode setting is cool for those who want every app to be dark all the time.
