    @JSBerg,

    Gaia GPS supports Dark Mode when it's enabled on iOS 13 devices.

    To turn on Dark Mode, go to the iOS settings app, tap Display & Brightness, and choose Dark Mode.

    If you're looking for a map source that supports dark mode, use Gaia Topo. It will switch between light and dark mode depending on your iOS settings.

    Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Would be better to be able to use dark mode for IOS but keep the maps normal. I prefer to use the SMART INVERT feature in IOS to see gaia maps better, it´s x10 more readable in super bright light.

    Usually yes but as of yesterday after updating Gaia meters map it no longer worked on Gaia meters map, the map stayed black and topo lines were borderline unreadable if IOS darkmode is enabled. If there´s a workaround, i.e. turning dark mode off in GAIA but not in the IOS I'd like to hear about it ;)

    Hey robert.guide,

    The new Gaia Topo map is designed to display in dark mode when dark mode is enabled on your iOS device.

    You can have the map display in light mode by following these steps:

    Email support@gaiagps.com if you have any other questions.

    You really need to add an in-app toggle for dark mode. Forcing users to switch their entire phone color scheme outside of the app just to view a single map in your app how they want is not a good design.

    I was really excited to try out your updated Gaia Topo but I'm not going to toggle my color scheme every time I open/close the app so the Gaia Topo layer is actually readable in the field during the day. I'll stick with other base maps.

    Same here, I use my phone in darkmode and I cannot use the gaia topo maps after the update, the contour lines are not readable when outside in snow or sunlight. In app toggle for dark mode would solve this dilemma.

    PS. thanks for fixing the Garibaldi park contour lines, looks much better after the update.

    Hey all,

    A toggle for Dark Mode Maps is now available in version 2020.5 of the app.

    You can follow these steps to enable or disable Dark Mode Maps from within the app: Gaia GPS > Settings > Map Controls > Dark Mode Maps

    Email support@gaiagps.com if you have any questions.
