Map download problems

I have a brand new 2019 tab a and I cant get more than one or 2 layers to download, regardless of  area size. The app will crash, or just download one layer. It also wont show areas that are already downloaded.

If I try and download "along route" it immediately crashes. Help! I have a trip coming up and need this to work!
