Beta version is working on AA.

    2020 Toyota Tacoma

I have just renewed my subscription now that AA is supported. I will be leaving private feedback on the current bugs. Thank you devs for getting this done.

I'll be re-purchasing my subscription now that there's AA support! I'm so pumped, this is such a leap forward for this app.

Any chance the heading can be pulled from GPS instead of the phone's compass? The heading arrow on the map seems to currently be driven by the internal compass of the phone, which is great, except when driving. The phone is not always oriented in the direction of travel when using Android Auto.

Very happy that this is finally done!

I've got an issue probably similar to the one above - the location marker does not follow the GPS position. The map scrolls correctly, with my position in the middle but the location marker / heading arrow stays in the initial position. At best there is quite a bit of lag, maybe 20 secs or longer.  I've got the map oriented north top.

I'm on a Pixel 5 and performance is abysmal. I can't figure out how to pan the map and the app frequently just locks up requiring me to unplug my phone and plug it in again.

I also have a Pixel 5. I have noticed the locking up myself as well. As for the panning, you cannot pan. From what I understand it's a requirement that Google has placed on some of the other mapping apps that use Android Auto

Gaia claims that Google disallows them from supporting panning but I don't see that in the Android Auto documentation.

This page talks about how to do panning:
    https://developer.android.com/training/cars/apps/navigation#map-interactivity

    Specifically:

Allow users to interact with your map

From Car App API level 2 onwards, you can add zooming and panning to your map in the NavigationTemplate to allow users to see different parts of the map.

Maybe I'm an oddball but I care very little about Gaia providing me with guided navigation functionality. I'd rather see robust map interaction and layer selection and similar interactions support.
