Africa Navigation
If this is the wrong forum, please accept my apologies -- I'm new here. You've only one potential competitor across the African continent, Tracks4Africa, and it has issues. Gaia's topo and satellite maps are better, but there are gaps. Place names, being the most significant. Granted there's far less money in Africa, and far fewer vehicles -- but arguably navigation here has greater potential to make travel just that little bit safer. Is there nothing that can be done to upgrade Africa's coverage -- and perhaps sell the product more effectively? Think of all the NGOs, over-landers, businesses who'd benefit.

Hey BrownMoyondizvo,
Welcome to Gaia GPS!
You can actually add information to the map yourself. Sources like Gaia Topo are based information stored in the OpenStreetMaps database. OSM is crowdsourced, kind of like Wikipedia, and you can add trails and features to the map by submitting changes to OSM. Read more about this and find instructions here: Contribute to OpenStreetMap
If you decide to contribute any updates to OpenStreetMap, you'll see the changes in Gaia GPS in two to three weeks.0
