Gaia Files in Google Earth Won't show Elevation Profile
AnsweredI've downloaded a Gaia track into Google Earth (GE) both as a KML and a GPX file. The KML file doesn't allow the Elevation Profile view in GE to be shown. When the same track is downloaded as a GPX file in GE, the Elevation Profile view does work but the data in the box is a series of vertical lines.
The track was recorded with a Pixel 3 phone and the desktop is running Windows 10. GE Pro version
7.3.2.5776 (64-bit).

Hi there, Do you mind sending a copy of the track recording you exported to support@gaiagps.com so we can take a closer look at this?
If you can, send us a link to the track recording saved to your account so we can view the original track file:0 -

Did you get this answered? I had this problem and sometimes when you open KML in GE the track isn't selected. If you select the track using the panel on the left it will display elevation profile. Strange behavior but selecting the track worked for me.

Nope. After working with Gaia quite a bit I've grown frustrated with the program. Its clearly an Apple app with a not so smooth Android version.

Could you post a link to the KML file? I don't disagree with your frustration with the program, but I don't think KML GE Show Elevation Profile is one of them.

I believe this is the track that I was having an issue with. I have not worked with it in GE since I posted the original comment.

See this link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/oCAfcoqjYKa3YLQJ9
It shows elevation profile. When you open the KML file in Google Earth double click the link which will expand and click the blue link below and you'll be able to click elevation profile.
