I've been using GaiaGPS exclusively for a little over a year now. As far as the availability and diversity of maps it is by far the finest available and getting better.
But how about dedicating some resources to something besides cartographers and the like. In particular how about FINALLY putting some work into
- Folder structure (including sub-folders)
- Ability to hide anything I choose, be it a track, waypoint, even folders themselves.
- Better planning tools
There are many, many references to these feature requests in the forums. I haven't tried to do this on IOS (maybe it's possible) because route planning on a phone just seems real stupid to me when I can sit in front of a laptop, have a beer and do this at home.
I tend to hike in the Pecos Wilderness most of the time, and when planning a new route it's mind boggling that I have to look at all the other tracks I've already hiked while planning a new one. You've brought a lot of new people on board lately, but the only thing I really see as any sort of progress is more maps. I need easier planning.
Maybe others can chime in to possibly state this usage case better than me.
