How large of an offline map can be downloaded?
Hello all,
I have an older iOS device (7+) that I use for running my mapping when going offroad.I have the older "Classic"/no subscription needed app installed on my device.
We are planning a trip through Arizona, Nevada, Utah, in a couple of weeks.
My iOS device has 100+GB free, and I'd like to download the USGS maps for the entirety of those three states. The USGS data covering those states is 30GB, so it should fit just fine.
The old app only allows downloading "100k tiles" or about 1gb of mapping at a time. I would prefer to not have to manually chunk up the states into smaller map portions.
Does the new subscription based app allow me to download larger areas of mapping in a single go? I don't mind starting the download then letting the phone download many GB of maps data over the next week before I leave town.
I don't want to pay for a subscription only to find out that my use case isn't covered...
Thanks!

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your continued use of Gaia GPS.
The updated app also has an individual download limit of 100k tiles for the USGS Maps.
At the same time, if you did want to switch over to the updated app and try it out, your account will automatically be grandfathered into a Legacy Membership when you log in. This will give you access to all the same maps and features you had in the classic app.0
