I've been using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 (2016), Running Android Lollipop 5.1.1 for about the last 9 months on maybe 12-15 trips. After about 1 to 2 hours of driving with it either plugged charging or not, using Gaia or not, mounted on my dash or resting on my seat, the recent apps screen with pop up and then flicker and jumps screens around and usually just kicks me back to the desktop. Someone at one time appeared to have made an App that would disable the feature, but i can't find any today that will prevent this from happening. I really like Gaia, but with this moody tablet, it makes it really frustrating navigating gravel roads in the Oregon Cascades.
I'd done with this tablet - I need to find something better. A 7-8" screen is all I want with a good GPS and WiFi with a SD card slot. I don't need cell service or anything else - just a dedicated tablet for the 4Runner. Price range would be under $200 as Its totally feasible it could get damaged on my adventures. Not that i don't care - but I know it could happen.
or unless you know a real fix for my Galaxy Tab A.
