Filter Public Trips by Type (e.g. Hike, Drive, Bike, Ski, Other, etc.)
The Gaia GPS user community is growing fast, and number of tracks in the Public Trips overlay has grown to the point that it is losing it's usefulness. Is there a way to filter the types of Public Trips being displayed (e.g. Hikes only, Driving only, etc.) that I'm not seeing? or does this need to go into Feature Requests?
Of course a large part of the work will fall to the users to put a little more effort into usefully naming and tagging their tracks, but providing the filters may encourage more organized behavior in the users.

Hi,
Currently, the best way to view known routes for hiking trails through Hike Search and we are planning to add more use type options within the feature.0 -
Hi Nathan,
Well that's sorta my point. I'm not interested in Hikes, I'm looking for 4WD trails, but I keep ending up in the Hike Search because there's no distinguishing the tracks on the main public info overlay.3 -
I'm having the same issue as Christopher. I'm wanting to see more 4wd and Forest Road trails. I'm a total rookie with GAIA so I'm sure I'm not familiar enough to find this info more efficiently. Is there an easy way to just have FR's and other vehicle related routes display?

@steveb
To highlight USFS roads in the app, I recommend adding these overlays to your favorite basemap:
- USFS MVUM
- USFS Roads and Trails0 -
Please allow to filter by date range or season of the year. Mountain routes in winter are completely useless in summer and vice-versa.

I know it's an old post.. but wondering if this was ever answered? can we filter public tracks by type or other fields?
