Map annotations

I would like to add annotations on the map (lines, text, etc.). Is that possible ? I yes, how could I do it ?

  Thanks for posting.
  
  Currently, it is not possible to add annotations to map sources outside of using the Notes sections for waypoints, tracks, routes, and folders.
  
  However, this post can serve as the official feature request for this.

  Gaia should allow inserting at least words i.e. trailhead, camp, lunch, etc. Most good ones do, and especially the premium version should allow such.
