You can edit the position of the Record button in the Stats bar by long pressing the space next to the Record button and then selecting a different variable for that position.

I've been trying this for some time now, no result. I'm currently pretty frustrated; is there any other way?

@riff3313 sorry for the frustration! We're planning to redo the stats bar to make this easier. For now, the only other way to reset is to delete and reinstall the app. If you choose to do this, please make sure you run a new sync first, so that you don't lose any of your data.

Count me more than frustrated.  For nearly two years we have been promised a refresh of the Android app.  We have lost features, functionality, waypoint photos etc, not gained appreciable features or even at parity with iOS.  Come on GAIA find-a-trail is not what us hardcore guys are looking for, build a usable, responsive app ...

And this is the top rated GPS app. Paid for the Premium membership too. Reinstall the app to change a button? If this app gets any worse I'm getting a refund and going back to map and compass.

play.google ratings have fallen from 4.1 to 3.5 in the last several months.... for a reason, or many.  I just hope GAIA doesn't hit terminal velocity...
