    Hi everyone,

Thanks for posting. I can definitely see how this would be a great addition for Android users.

While this currently isn't on the roadmap, I appreciate the feedback and encourage others to upvote this request to show their support.

Any hope of getting Samsung Watch support?

Yes please! This is super helpful for mountain biking where you don't want to mount the phone to the handlebars due to shaking and crashing, but I still want more detailed maps than my current gps unit, a Garmin Edge 130.

I would love to see compatibility with Samsung smart watches for ease of use while backpacking/mountain biking, etc.

A quick glance at a watch would be so much more efficient than pulling out the phone or tablet. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

Any updates on Gaia compatibility with the Samsung Watches?  Specifically the Galaxy.

I I currently use a different app that syncs with my Samsung watch (AllTrails) but would prefer to use myGAIA GPS app.

While not quite as flexible (but getting better) ALLTRAILS app is compatible with Samsung watch. Give it a try!

@DanY I can't find a Watch app for alltrails, can you post a link?

Actually, once I start hiking with the AllTrails APP activated on my Samsung phone for a particular hike, it seems to automatically sync with my Samsung watch. The main feature I love is it plays a tone and displays a message if I get off trail.

It's been 4 yrs since I posted this request... to solve my issue I wear Garmin Fenix.... since 2019.  I love the watch as it has all the features I need to navigate on my outdoor adventures.  problem solved, get a different watch. I guess the proper watch if you love the outdoors.

I’m assuming GAIA has a “special” relationship with Apple which would explain their lack of interest in devoting an interface with Samsung watches

interesting, I did not know Apple Watch supports gaiagps, - https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058372613-Gaia-GPS-on-Apple-Watch

I guess there are politics involved here.

I am currently using Komoot because of the support of Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch, so I don't have to hike with my phone in my hand (or noisy spoken instructions scaring all the wild life away) but would lave to switch over to GaiaGPS for all my outdoor navigation.

I see that the request for creating an Samsung Watch compatible version is already 4 years out standing so I have low hopes but PLEASE put Samsung Watch compatibility on the roadmap for GaiaGPS

Seeing how Gaia GPS isn't interested in creating an app compatible on Galaxy Watch, I have to either pay for a compatible watch $$$$, or simply rely on another app that is compatible on my watch and cancel my Gaia GPS account $.
I hat to say it, but I am leaning with the cheaper (and more user friendly) option of just terminating Gaia GPS and use one of the many apps that are compatible on Galaxy watches. ANY update or explanation as to why Gaia GPS has not made an app would be great customer service.

hate to say it but 5 years and no comments, they have no interest in providing support, I doubt I will renew Gaia when the time comes, time to move to a more modern app

Even a limited function app would be great. If I could start and stop recording a track from the watch. And waypoint current location, that would be awesome. Then synch with my Gaia account when able. I've been using and supporting Gaia for 15 years. Please make an app for android watches

Long time user, but might be ditching Gaia for something else that has taken the time to develop an android watch app. Multiple years and radio silence on their end and its a damn shame.

Please create a GAIA app for Android users. I'm planning on getting the Pixel watch 3 and will unfortunately have to cancel my account and go with another option.
