    Agreed, there should be parity between platforms.  Honestly, I'm much more concerned with the functionality and the lack of features compared to iOS than having efforts spent on improving "trail search" etc.  Android has been neglected far too long.

    Thanks for posting. Currently, there are two main Android projects: Hike Search and updating the mapping framework.

    Once the mapping framework in the Android app is updated, it will bring the two versions of the app closer together and make it possible to access the new precipitation overlay on Android.

    After finishing Hike Search and the mapping framework, the plan is to continue to add more feature and sources to the Android app. Here's a great post by Andrew the CEO of Gaia GPS on the current roadmap for Gaia GPS:
