iOS Devices: Snap-to-trail Doesn’t Work Well When Zoomed In

I am responding to the above response from GAIA with the following screenshots and link to the route. https://www.gaiagps.com/public/BjfpphYECAuEhjRy3Xf7yeOY
- In screenshot # 1 below, I am placing a Finish waypoint precisely on the trail finish point with a fully zoomed in map, and route mode as Hike. However, the route doesn't snap to the trail and instead stays as Straight Line.
- In screenshot # 2, I zoom out so that I could see both start and finish points on the map, and now when I place a new finish waypoint (Finish # 2), and suddenly the route snaps back to trail, even though the waypoint is not even precisely placed on the trail as shown in Screenshot # 3.
I just want to point out that this routing is just an example of the behavior that I have seen with most routing exercise in iOS devices i.e. when zoomed in, the route sometime snaps back to the trail, and it doesn't on other times.

Thanks for posting the details of the issue and the screenshots. I have created a bug report for this and will let you know if I have any other questions.
While looking into this, I did find that the route will snap to the trail if you zoom out one level from the max zoom. This should still provide enough details to place the routepoint in the exact location you want.
