Premium subscription not recognized

I am trying to add overlays, and each time I select an overlay from the map management dialog box, the app kicks me out to the website offering me to upgrade to premium.  On the very same page it tells me I have a premium subscription through april of next year.  IOS 10.3.3, ipad

  I'm sorry you're unable to layer map sources.

  Can you verify that your iPad is logged into your Gaia GPS account? If so, please follow these steps to restore your membership in the app: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003638848-Add-a-Gaia-GPS-Membership-Premium-to-Another-Device-or-restore-subscription-
