Phone compatibility A-GPS, S-GPS

Hello, I'm about to purchase a new phone and want to be sure the GAIA app functions without cellular service. When a phone specs state that is has A-GPS, S-GPS does this meet the requirement for the GAIA app to function without cellular service? I'm pretty sure it does, but would like verification before I make the phone purchase. thank you

  Yes, Gaia GPS will work on a device with A-GPS & S-GPS. Here are the requirements to run the Android version of Gaia GPS offline:

  • Android OS 4.1 or newer
  • A GPS Chip
  • A compass sensor (optional, but necessary to use the compass)
