Tracking Routes on Offline Maps

I'm considering a Premium Membership but would first like to know if the app allows you to record trips and track routes  while offline/not using data?

  Yes, Gaia GPS will use your device's built-in GPS chip to record your trips and show your progress along a route while using Gaia GPS offline.
  
  Most devices have a GPS chip, with the exception of WiFi-only iPads, which you could buy a Bluetooth GPS device for.
