set limit to tile cache size

My tile cache size is 7 GB. I was told one way to clear it is to 'clear the cache'. However, it clears the last 100K tiles. I don't what the cache stores, but it definitely uses too much of my phone's memory. It would be nice to set a limit for cache not to go over half GB.

  Me too.  I would like to purge my Tile Cache as well.  Is this possible?  I only have an iPhone SE with 16GB of space so everything counts.

  Has this been resolved? From all my research this appears to have been identified years ago and no solution besides deleting the app and reinstalling and hoping everything reloads. It’s ridiculous if this hasn’t had a developer fix this. I’ve used Gaia religiously for almost 10yrs. To put this issue into perspective, my map Tile Cache is 184GB. Yes, 184. I ended up buying a new phone last year thinking it was a phone issue. I regularly have the app crash and I suspect it’s because this large cache. I’ve tried hiring the “clear cache” no less than 100 times to no reduction is size. Any recommendations or help would be appreciated. Phone is an iPhone XS. Thanks
