How do I set default speeds for hiking, cycling, etc?

    Gaia GPS uses the Tobler's Hiking Function and the elevation stats for your route to determine an estimated travel time. Unfortunately, the speed variables used for the various Snap-to-Trail modes cannot be adjusted. Sorry about that.

    Here are the baseline speed values used for routes with little to no elevation change:

      • Hiking Mode on a flat ground: 3.02 mph
      • Hiking Mode on a trail: 1.86 mph
      • Cycling Mode: 11.21 mph
