I'm sorry the option to select A0 as a paper size is no longer available. Unfortunately, we discovered that sizes over A3 did not display properly in a web browser. For now, you could save your map as a PDF from the print screen so that you can print larger sizes from your desktop.

If you would like to see more print sizes such as A0, please feel free to open a feature request.

The PDF generated when I save the map on my computer is pretty blurry.  Any way to fix that?

We are working on a couple under the hood updates for gaiagps.com this year which should improve the quality of the PDFs.

Unfortunately in the meantime, there isn't a way to adjust the quality of PDFs. Sorry about that.

Do you guys have an update on this? I have a printer that has high resolution and can print large waterproof paper .. It'll be perfect for hiking if I have potential camp spots and public land boundaries included.

Yes, I'd be interested to know if the PDF quality issue has been addressed.

Any updates on this?  when I try to create an A0 PDF for sending to the plotter, it just ends up being a tiny section.

Note:  large format printing is *literally* promoted as a feature of gaiagps on your site:

"Saving the map as a PDF allows you to share it with others, or stitch multiple maps together. You can also customize your paper size further to create a huge print with a printing service like FedEx and Staples offers.

We were able to print this enormous 54×36 map at Staples!:"

An update to this would be appreciated!  I'd like to bring a couple of maps with my on my trip in a couple of months.

Thanks for posting and pointing this issue out to us. It looks like there is a problem with the map image filling the newly added print page sizes (A0-A2).

I created a bug report for about this so we can troubleshoot further.

To create the large map print out mentioned in the blog, the map was saved as a PDF which was then enlarged onto a larger page size in the store.

That's great news, thank you!  Ideally I'd like to print at A0 natively, rather than an enlarged A3, since a native A0 print should have far more detail.  Let me know when it's fixed!

It looks like this issue is isolated to Chrome. For now, you can switch to a different browser and print the newly available page sizes (A0, A1, & A2).
