Reverse a route
Not plannedI created a route, but now I wish that I had it in reverse. Is there a way to do this in the app? Reverse a route?

Hey y'all
I can definitely see how it would be helpful to reverse a route.
We don't have plans for anything like this at the moment, but I do have an open request for this feature and I've added your votes.
Thanks for suggesting this. We will update here if this feature becomes available.Comment actions -
Currently, there is not an option to reserve a route without editing the route. Sorry about that.
However, you can activate the Guide Me feature and then tap the infinity symbol to view a guidance line for your route in the reserve direction. -
I also wish to be able to reverse a route, a very slowly hand-plotted route.
The Wahatoya Trail traversing from N side to S side of Spanish Peaks Wilderness Area in CO, crossing the saddle between East (12.7K ft) and West (13.6 k ft) Spanish Peaks, is apparently not on any of the "snap to trail" layers (that I can locate).
In fact, what the USFS Ranger provided me as the latest official version for the Wahatoya Trail does not match any single trail on any Gaia layer (that I have found) and specifically conflicts with some layers to arrive at a southern trail head that is many miles distant from present actual.
Thus, I used Ranger's USFS ledger sized map of SP WA map along with 4 or 5 different Gaia layers (parts of trail on some layers, not on others, checked satellites for tread) to stitch together well over 100 points to create a most probable route, prior to feet on ground. Now our work crew wishes to proceed in the opposite direction this summer, for good reasons. Anyway, I'm not inclined to spend extended time re-plotting the opposite direction, but I also wish we did not have to repeatedly perform "simple subtraction" on mileage and invert terrain profiles in our fatigued heads this summer.
Still, I'm grateful for the Gaia tools. (Yes, I checked AllTrails, Caltopo and other sources too. Apparently Wahatoya has changed, is obscure, and/or is little used, for I couldn't locate anything more useful for a phone GPS with reasonable effort.)

@AT-Reactor
It's possible to reverse routes by exporting the file, using a third-party conversion tool like www.gpsvisualizer.com, and then importing the converted file. Here are the steps:
1. Export route: Export data from gaiagps.com
2. Reverse the route using the advanced options at https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input
3. Import the route: Import GPX, KML, or FIT Files
If you run into any issues, please email us support@gaiagps.com and we can help you troubleshoot. -
I would also like to see a "reverse the route" feature. I would like to be able to edit my routes ending waypoint so that I can add onto my route from my starting point going the opposite direction. In essence, I would like my starting point waypoint to become my finishing waypoint so that I can continue to edit my route from that location. This way I can easily extend my route by editing from either the start point or if I want that to be my end point, I can extend the opposite direction.

I'd also like to see reverse functionality. I just joined and I went looking for the feature, only to find this thread of requests.
At least what should be implemented is an option to take you back in the opposite direction along the same route after you've reached the end.
Please?
