Reference Key for Overlays

Good afternoon, I'm trying to figure out how to decipher the different colors on some of your overlays. For instance the Public Land (PAD-US) map has a lot of shading but I can not find a reference to what colors mean what. This probably applies to other overlays but I'm still learning my way around the software.
