Elevation data
The elevation displayed in Gaia on my Android is consistently different than the underlying map and other gps based apps. Is it possible that the elevation displayed is the ellipsoid elevation and not the geoid elevation? If so, I don't see a place to toggle the datum to NAVD88

Hi Jerry,
1. The Gaia GPS Android app used to use ellipsoid elevation. In the most recent update, it's been corrected to be height above the earth's surface (geoid)
If you're finding elevation inconsistencies often, please submit a bug report to the support team by hitting "submit a request" above and someone will take a closer look.
2. I'm not familiar with the NAVD88 elevation model.
3. Other Datums you can use are NAD27 and WGS84, but these relate to horizontal coordinates and not elevation. You can toggle between NAD27 and WGS84 under Settings > Units.
