Using second device to track someone? Or sharing coordinates?

Is there anyway to send your current location to someone so they can keep an eye on you while out hiking?

Or if my wife is home and on a second device with gaia installed, could she get into the app to check on my progress?  

What if it's across platforms?  Like one iphone and one android?

  Hi,

  There isn't a way to automatically share your location.

  If you have cell phone service, you could periodically send a waypoint via text message.

  For sharing your location without cell phone service, I recommend getting a SPOT satellite messenger: https://www.findmespot.com/en/
