android
I have an android and am a new user.
Can I set up/plan a hike for the future; save the planned route; then use the planned route as a map when I actually do hike. That way I can follow a planned route in real time.
Second, I am testing trips close to my home. Instead of showing each trip as separate, the Gaia app puts all of the trips (to the same location) on one map. I would like the trips to be separate, so I can see if my knowledge of the system is improving.
thanks

Hi there,
1. Yes, absolutely.
Here is how to plan a hike in advance: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003526167
Make sure to also download a map before you leave for a trip: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003525547
When you get to the location, your map, route, and a marker of your current location will all show on the map.
2. I'd recommend hiding tracks that you don't want to see on the map. Here's how to do that: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003525567
You can also utilize folders to organize your tracks into groups, and turn them on/off all at once.
