It used to be true that I could record a hike, send the track to a friend by email, and then the friend could see the hike record by clicking a link, including photos. Now it appears that all the associated photos are "private" until the friend creates an account. This is an unwelcome change. Am I missing something?

  Hi,

  I think this could happen if your track got initially set to private. In the app, go to Settings > Account and turn on the setting called 'auto-publish'. This will make sure that new tracks get uploaded to the web as public, and this should include any photos on the track, too.
