    Ezra,

I'd expect Gaia GPS to be an option for opening GPX files.

    Some common issues could be:

    1. Improperly formatted GPX file (you could send me a copy if you think this might be the case)

    2. A different GPS program is set as the default for opening GPX files (a feature of some Android devices)

For opening in Gaia GPS from other programs - you could message those app developers and request that Gaia GPS get added as an option.

    Thanks Ashli!

    1. I don't actually have the file to check. My main use for this is trying to navigate to where a photo was taken (obviously, photos from the gallery, not photos taken with Gaia). I hit "open with" and would love it if Gaia, my favorite app, showed up as an option...

    2. Not the issue. See picture...https://imgur.com/MWKjxPQ

    Ezra,

Thank you for the additional information - we've opened up a bug report about this as I believe Gaia should be an option in the screenshot you shared.

I appreciate you bringing that to my attention!

    Hi Ashli,

I face the same problem - Gaia is never mentioned as on option to choose from to open a gpx file with on my android phone (Samsung S10).

    Screenshot attached.

Do you know how to make it an option?

    Greetings,

    Pieter

    Hi Pieter,

These steps from Samsung may help you change the default apps: https://www.samsung.com/my/support/mobile-devices/how-to-clear-and-change-default-apps-on-android/

If that doesn't, I would recommend following these steps to import the GPX file into Gaia GPS:

    1. Open the Gaia GPS app
    2. Tap the + icon
    3. Select "Import File" from the menu list
    4. Locate the file on your device
