    Yes! Same issue here. I just got this app for my father this week. After paying 20 dollars I'm pretty bummed to find two important features not working properly. The elevation is missing on routes I create at home (online) and when I hit the option to re-evaluate elevation, it's gives me "error". The other problem I have is the road snapping that is super unpredictable.. It works sometimes and sometimes it does not. Was thinking about asking for a refund but rather hope it gets fixed because that would be one awesome app.

    Hi all,

    Is anyone still having an issue with this if they try creating a new route?

    If so, let me know if you are using the app or a computer, and if on a computer, what browser.

    @vorsters.wouter you are getting the 'error' message in the app? Can you please send me a screenshot? You could hit Submit a Request above to open a support ticket. If you mention the snapping issues you're having, we can help with that too.

    @djstemp1 thank you for the update! The support team confirmed that this should be fixed now and it was a temporary outage of the routing service we use. Sorry for the trouble!

    I'm sorry you are having an issue with the elevation profile for your route.

    Can you let me know if the route were created in the app or on gaiagps.com. If gaiagps.com, please also let me know which web browser you are using.

    I just had this problem this weekend. Tracked a hike using the iOS app. Now when I look at the details in the app, the altitude profile and altitude time profile charts are blank.

    If I go to the gaiagps.com website and look at the track using my laptop and Chrome, the charts show the data properly. So this seems like an iOS app problem.

    @mike
    I'm sorry the altitude charts are not populating for your recent track recording.

    Can you send the activity to support so we can look into this?

    I'm having this same problem with routes imported from Caltopo.

    @PDXzimmy, As far as I know, Caltopo doesn't export elevation data.  I vaguely remember reading something about the "processing overhead" to perform this on their end when I experienced the same thing.

    There are other web based sites that you can run your GPX file through to add the elevation if you desire.

    Thank you @jpurdy What other sites are you referring to?

    I tried editing one of the routes in Gaia, changing it from "as the crow flies" to a hike which added elevation data but it also changed the route from the existing path to a straight line between the beginning and end points.

    @PDXzimmy @jpurdy

    Thanks for posting - I'm glad you found a workaround.

    Outside of using http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/elevation you can also add elevation data to an imported track in the iOS app.

    Check out this article to learn how.
