Yes!!! I totally agree. GAIA GPS is awesome. Please, we need this app on Garmin Connect IQ. It would be extremely useful.

I’d like it too: I often prefer to use watch physical buttons because in extreme cold weather or hight mountains I don’t need to take my gloves off.

Yes please do this - most of your user base probably has a Garmin device.

Yes please!  Full integration into Garmin connect and an app for Fenix watches would be the final straw to the competition.  It would blow it wide open for Gaia maps.  Do it!

I concur. Make it happen. I'd love a GAIA app on my Fenix 5.

Fellow Garmin/Gaia user here - would absolutely LOVE this integration.

Why? Gaia is great when tracking in the vehicle, but my Garmin watch is much preferred on foot.

    Primary uses for me:

    • While Hiking, I'm using my Garmin to track my route and details. Having the ability to import the gpx file directly through the Gaia App (along with photos) would be an absolute game change and time saver.
    • Same for trail running.
    • Same with Scuba Diving/Free Diving.

Accessing Gaia Maps on Garmin would also be a game-changer.  Not sure if that would be possible, but we can dream.

I died a little today when I say the big press release on the new GAIA Gps app for the iphone. Dang....sure wish the developers would invest in us Garmin Fenix X users.  I mean, this watch is MADE for this sort of thing.  It's a major gap they don't integrate really at all with Garmin, not to mention not having an app.  Let's go GAIA!

The lack of integration is quite unfortunate. Majority of users of Gaia are intermediate-expert backpackers, most of which also use Fenix watches and other Garmin products. Garmin is simply the de-facto device supplier for people like us.

Having a seamless backend integration similar to e.g. AllTrails has, where I track my hike say on my watch, and it appears on Gaia through Garmin Connect integration would be a very compelling "choice factor" for people.

Do invest in this Gaia, you'll get more users.

Yes! This would be great. Especially when tracking, the solar watch would be very useful so I didn't have to drain my battery elsewhere

I saw today they released a new version and polished up waypoints. I was alittle disappointed in the development priorities when something like this that is 4 years old doesn’t seem to make the cut with no response from this development request. I’m not sure if anyone that can affect these requests even see them.

I’d totally agree that better integration is a must-have service. I’d go one step further and request that Garmin connect and Gaia GPS include a native integration. Upon perform then saving an activity using my Garmin device, it auto-saves to Garmin Connect. Any native integrations are then automatically synced across multiple platforms, like Strava, Training Peaks, and Apple Health.

As a developer, I would be willing to make this happen.
