Waypoint Tag or Description Presets for Android Auto/Car Play
Problem:
I often find my self in my Jeep, using GaiaGPS on a trail, and I want to set a waypoint. For example, "Turn Left here", or "Rock Obstacle". However, when I hit the waypoint button in my car, it just sets a waypoint with no description or way to know what it is for. There is no way to set this information in the car. You have to go back to the trip later, and update the title or description of the waypoint. By the time you get home and remember to do this, I often forget what waypoints were what.
Solution:
It would be great if there was an ability to have a waypoint tag or description preset when setting a way point using Android Auto or Car Play.
Currently, when you click the waypoint button, it just sets a waypoint and there is not a way to define what you are setting a waypoint to.
It would be ideal if there could be a second button click that would allow for setting a tag, or short preset description to the waypoint.
For example:
"Obstacle on trail"
"Turn Left here"
"Water Crossing"
"Scenic View"
It would also be great if the user could specify and set their own presets to allow for further customization of preset or tag values.
This would allow for setting waypoints while in the car and not having to type a description, but still have the ability to tag or set a basic description to the waypoint. It would only add one button click to the current flow of setting a way point and would greatly improve the user experience for setting waypoints while in the vehicle.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk.

Would love this option! I will “yes and…” this idea and make it one click. Give some big buttons that are set to our own preset that save it quickly with one click.
