Deleting Map Downloads

I have user created areas and many tracks/routes across the country (USA) and when I am traveling in those areas, I download them as low resolution maps.  I've had issues as of late with a continual syncing and realized that it's trying to download the entire country basically.  I've turned off resume download, and i'm going in on my Pixel 9pro to delete map downloads to no avail.  I'm not deleting my years worth of data from my account through the browser, just to clear map downloads on my phone.  I've uninstalled, reinstalled, same issues.  Answers or suggestions?
