Downloading photos
I do not want new features, I want the features that we had to work again.
Since August, photos taken on recorded hikes are not downloaded on my phone. They used to appear in Gallery and be stored in /Internal Storage/Pictures/GaiaGPS but no more.
Now the photos seem to be locked up in Gaia Cloud with no way to access them directly.
Even if I try to access each photo one by one, by clicking on the Waypoint for each photo, the photo appears but there is no way to save it in its original jpg format.
I want my photos back.

They have to be on the phone somewhere though? I took a lot of pictures while in flight mode, and I can view them while in flight mode, they must be somewhere on the device? I didn't find a Gaia folder in the Android folder though.

If you have "Save Photos to Gallery" enabled in Settings - Storage, they should be in /Internal storage/Pictures/GaiaGPS. So you can download them on your computer.
If it works properly. On my Android, that stopped working. They are still stored on Gaia Cloud but I have no way to get to them.0 -
But someplace they must be talking on the phone? There must be some place on the device where I can view the numerous photos I shot while in flying mode. However, I couldn't locate a Gaia folder in the Android folder.

I don't think you are going to find a Gaia folder on your Android device. The photos should be in /Internal storage/Pictures/GaiaGPS, as long as you have "Save Photos to Gallery" enabled in Settings - Storage.
However, that stopped working properly on my Android, just around the time Gaia forced on us this Outside atrocity.
