Hi Again,
So I haven't used the GAIA App on my Samsung tablet for about 6 months.
I just got it going and want to delete that lame HOME page with the cutesy social media garbage as one problem, but more to the point:
- it's been on now for an hour and still won't find where I am - I hit the Arrow on the map page, it says "Acquiring Location" and nutthen?
It does show that its downloading and updating some maps or something but that's it for signs of life. Any suggestions folks !? I need the sucker running for a SAREX on Friday.

Blame it on Outside, the new platform that GaiaGPS has joined. Useless garbage forced on us. Are they hoping to become the new Facebook for outside recreation?
Because Outside increases the load on the connection, it has been accompanied by many problems.
Downloading maps is one. Sync is another, endless loop of Downloading from Cloud and Uploading to Cloud.
Also no more downloading of photos in Gallery. No more storing photo files on /Internal Storage/Pictures/GaiaGPS.
Tech support unresponsive. I am re-examining my choice of app.
