I do not want Outside
Recently I was forced to loggin to an Outside account in order to get to GaiaGPS.
Only Outside won't load in an area with no cell reception. In effect, GaiaGPS is now crippled.
How do I go back to logging directly to GaiaGPS?

I had the same issue. I was out on the trail and din't have my phone on at first as was saving battery and the first stage was simple. An hour or two later I need to check location so fire up phone and have *barely* any signal and I need to log into Outside now? It took over half an hour to manage to get a stable enough data link just to log in and see my offline map. I'm in Australia and the Outside package has no benefit or value to me whatsoever. I have no interest in it.

Look elsewhere for a GPS offline map app. They will not fix this. Not a bug, a "feature".

I agree. I have several years of recorded hikes and photos and it is frustrated to find out that I cannot rely on those anymore.

I just ended up getting an "update" and am now forced to do the same. Outside will not let me log in because I already have a Gaia account with that name, so can no longer get into Gaia. Don't know why you did something that stupid, Gaia GPS, as this means I can't use your program and as soon as something that will record my hikes is found, your uninstalled.
My sense is this was some stupid money deal you made, but you've screwed your customers.
