Thinking about canceling a long time Gaia subscription because of this change to the iOS app. Twice now I have attempted to open Gaia while in the back country with no service. Never used to have to re-login. What purpose does this serve? Is it so that no one can navigate with Gaia if they steel my cell phone?

Both my brother and I have been caught out with having to sign in while out of service. Not only is this a stupid idea, it is dangerous. i lost half of a track while hiking and was unable to retrace my trail. It took several hours to fund my way back in the dark.
    This needs to be fixed.

Twice I have lost my track while in the back country, because I was asked to log back in by Outside which I don't even want, and by giaia. Giaia is dangerous. And I don't like Outside hounding me to sign in.

I go into the back country to get away from computers and social media. Outside / Gaia is becoming a garbage social media site. Goodbye.

This is idiocy and dangerous. Got us in trouble at night in snow, fortunately we had proper safety gear for overnight until dawn. Only a matter of time before these geniuses get unprepared amateurs killed.
