Arrow location in course mode

When you tap the locate icon to get yourself into Course navigation mode, can the positioning of the location arrow be put nearer to the bottom, maybe 1/4th of the screen while still tracking your location? Or at least make this an option you can change with a setting? I am more interested in seeing more of what is ahead of me than what is behind me. This would be particularly useful when viewed in landscape mode.

  This is a critical feature for using the 'course up' mode and has been a requested feature for years! Why on earth is it not automatic or an option? There would be much more screen real estate for where you are going, not where you've been, which is way more important for navigation and looking for alternative tracks. This single issue keeps pushing me back to OsmAnd - I prefer Gaia in nearly every other way but this is a deal breaker.
