Tracking Routes
Is there a way to display the routes on Ipad, for instance when we start a route I want to see exactly where we have traveled?

In GAIA “routes” are pre-planned directions you map and save so you can follow them on an adventure. Seeing where you have actually gone is called “tracks.” It sounds like you are looking to record a track to see everywhere you have been in a given period of time. If that is the case, that is the red record button on the top of your iOS screen. Have you tried this and is not what you are looking for? The other thing you mentioned is iPad - your iPad MUST have a cellular chip (although it does not need cellular service or a subscription with a carrier). This is because an iPad with cellular comes with the GPS chip that allows tracking to record your location. iPad with wifi does not have a GPS chip and requires you to have wifi connectivity for the tracking feature to work.
