"gaia GPS would like to access your photos" STOP THIS MESSAGE

After one of the updates, I started getting this message everytime I try to save a track.  My bike routes have nothing to do with photos, and it's just another scroll and click while challenged with wearing gloves and having the phone in a case.  How can I turn off this message for good?

  This is another example where we feel like Gaia personnel don't monitor the forums and interject their expertise.  I reckon I can enter a help ticket and then cc the answer here.
