Can You Enable Spoken Instructions During Turn-by-Turn Routing on iOS when Biking?

Is this a feature on iOS when biking? I keep reading GAIA articles that say it is a feature, but I've burned a bunch of time trying to get it working in the app. It doesn't appear to be possible. Anyone know for sure?
