Lidar Data
I would love to have access to a high-resolution LIDAR map layer. LIDAR is super helpful in hunting waterfalls, arches, and other "small" features. The "Shaded Relief" layer is somewhat helpful for my purposes, but not as detailed as I would like. Perhaps there's an easy way to get such info from the National Map, but I can't figure it out.

I’ve imported my own Google Satellite before, maybe you could do that with the maps you are thinking? https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003639068

Thanks for the comment, TakeNoSpace. I read that article last week and started trying to figure out how to make it work with the data available on the NationalMap, but I couldn't figure it out. I can activate 3DEP Hilshade, click on a section of the map, and save it as a giant TIFF file. I don't know what to do with after that.

This article seems to cover TIF import. I have not done it myself. https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003639948-Import-Maps-Data-with-Mapbox-Studio

I know it's been a while since you posted this OP, but here's a URL to import your own LIDAR layer. https://server.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Elevation/World_Hillshade/MapServer/tile/{z}/{y}/{x}
